SGM board reorganized

We would like to thank Peter Stucki for his six years of commitment as a member and co-president of the SGM Board. Likewise, we express our gratitude to Hélène Barras for her valuable time as Secretary, who is now also stepping down from the board. We appreciate their great contributions and wish them both all the best in their future journeys. During the General Assembly of the Swiss Meteorological Society (SSM), we also said goodbye to Firdewsa Zukanovic and Fabian Schöni, who have been actively involved in the organization of various events as student representatives of the SGM Board over the past two years. All the best to you both and many thanks!

Sven Kotlarski, former treasurer of the SSM, will take over as Co-President alongside Tina Schnadt. In addition, Yuri Brugnara and Daniel Steinfeld were elected as new board members at the General Assembly 2023. Yuri Brugnara, who works in the field of air pollution/environmental technology at Empa, takes on the position of the treasurer of the SSM board. Daniel Steinfeld, who works in natural hazards at GVZ Gebäudeversicherung Kanton Zürich, will be in charge of the SGM secretariat. The board is further complemented by the new student representatives, Melina Abeling and Livio Bächtold, both students in Climate Sciences at the University of Bern. We warmly welcome them to the SSM board and look forward to a successful collaboration!
